Jobs
A community, city, county, or state can't survive without strong jobs. Families in District 17 deserve the opportunity to work, earn, and provide for their families. As Mayor, Phil Segraves leveraged his relationships with lawmakers, economic developers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs to build a pro-business, responsible-growth environment that saw record investments from local, regional, and national businesses and provided jobs for the people he was elected to serve.

In the legislature, he'll bring that same experience, knowledge, and energy, to grow Alabama's economy and ensure every person who wants a job has the skills, training, and opportunity to get one.
Education
Alabama must invest in our students if we want to remain competitive in tomorrow's economy. Students need to be in an environment that fosters innovation, teaches real life skills, and prepares them to enter the workforce and positively contribute to society.

This starts by getting politics out of the classrooms and letting teachers do what they do best: Teach.

Phil Segraves will support strong investments in education, student innovation, and workforce development. He'll ensure parents have a say-so in their child's educational journey and keep bureaucrats and progressive policies out of our schools.
Crime
It's real simple: If you break our laws, you bear the consequences. Phil will support the men and women of law enforcement by ensuring they have every resources needed to find, arrest, and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone who seeks to ignore our laws and cause harm to others.

Phil's a no nonsense kind of guy. Law enforcement in Alabama can count on Phil to have their backs in the legislature.
Cost of Living
It's no secret that the cost of living is out of control. This is largely in part due to the out of control spending, burdensome regulations, and excessive taxes pushed on Alabama families by tax and spend progressives.

However, Phil Segraves has built a career out of solving problems and finding solutions to make life better for folks in his community. Once elected, Phil will take his record as a fiscal conservative to Montgomery to cut waste, cut taxes, and cut spending.

If families in Alabama have to tighten their belts when it comes to spending, Phil believes the government should lead the way.
